Dessert and grilled cheese all in one? Yes please! This is a delicious sweet grilled cheese creation. The creamy Wisconsin Mascarpone pairs perfectly with the strawberries, chocolate and vanilla. What are you waiting for? Start grilling!
Chocolate Strawberry Mascarpone Grilled Cheese

4 large ripe strawberries
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
8 oz container Wisconsin Mascarpone cheese at room temperature
8 medium slices chocolate pound cak
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
For chocolate sauce: Add semisweet chocolate chips and heavy cream to small saucepan and cook on low heat. Whisk to combine. If sauce seems too thick you can add more heavy cream to thin it out.
For sandwich: Remove tops from strawberries, slice and set aside. Mix vanilla extract with Mascarpone cheese and set aside.
Slather one side of each slice of pound cake with butter. Set butter-side-down in medium-hot pan and cook until toasty. Remove from pan.
To assemble sandwich cover ungrilled side of one slice of pound cake with 1/4 Mascarpone mixture, 1 sliced strawberry and a drizzle of chocolate sauce. Top with a slice of grilled bread and drizzle the top with even more chocolate sauce. Enjoy!
