Entertaining Feature: Summer Entertaining with Picks and Bites

There are days in the summer that contain the perfect amount of sunshine and breeziness. These are the days that should be celebrated with cocktails and cheesy snacks – and the Wisconsin Cheese Picks & Bites collection has lots of fun options! So, let’s do this!

Let’s put a bright flowered tablecloth on the picnic table and eat Greek salad on a stick. Let’s infuse vodka with cucumbers and make pretty deviled eggs with shredded Wisconsin Asiago and curly parsley. And for dessert, let’s eat berries and Wisconsin Brie dunked in hot fudge.

The best part is that these snacks can be made ahead of time and chilled. And as you wait for your guests to arrive, you should probably treat yourself to a cucumber vodka soda and obtain a few more freckles on your shoulders.

Picks ’n Bites Ingredients

Greek Salad Pick
Asiago Egg Bite
Brie Berry Pick with Hot Fudge Sauce

Cucumber Infused Vodka

2 large cucumbers
1 bottle (750 ml) vodka

Slice cucumber in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon, and slice into half moons.

Place cucumber slices in a large clean jar with a lid. Pour vodka over cucumbers until they’re fully submerged.

Top the jar with  its lid and place in a cool dark place for 3 days, shaking the jar a few times a day.

Serve over on the rocks with a splash of soda water and a cucumber slice. Pair with Greek Salad Pick.
