Over the past month, the Cheese & Burger Society has honored those willing to brave the cold for a great cheeseburger with the All Hail the Winter Griller campaign on Facebook. In case you missed it, below are three cheeseburger recipes from talented foodies that will make putting on a few layers and heading into the snow worth your while.


The Rarebit Cheeseburger by Kita from Girl Carnivore

The Rarebit Cheeseburger, is an all Angus burger slathered in a classic three-cheese sauce using Wisconsin aged cheddar, Colby and Roth Prairie Sunset. Top that with bacon, tomato and lettuce and you have yourself a delicious, napkin-required cheeseburger.



The Grilled Garlic Bread Cheeseburger with Mozzarella and Caramelized Onions by Kelley of Mountain Mama Cooks

This indulgent burger features lots of gooey Wisconsin mozzarella cheese, sweet caramelized onions, and a rich Dijon aioli all sandwiched between two grilled garlic bread buns. Add a layer of fresh tomato and arugula for crunch and to balance the creamy mozzarella.



The Cheese Board Burger by Lori of Foxes Love Lemons

Inspired by a Wisconsin cheese board, this cheeseburger could pass as a gourmet meal. Soft and buttery Wisconsin brie adds a creaminess to the hearty beef burger accented with sweet fig preserves, pickled red onion and crunchy spinach.
