It’s Pi Day and we’re celebrating with a super simple cheesy pizza pie!

Homemade pizza and flatbreads are a great option for serving at parties and at anytime, really. If you want to keep things fast and easy, using store-bought breads can save a tremendous amount of time.

Naan is a perfect option for this because it’s chewy yet tender, and just the right size for single serving pizzas. This three-cheese pizza highlights a variety of Wisconsin cheese, it’s bursting with flavor, and the best part? It comes together in no time.

There’s room for creativity here as well. The balsamic glaze adds a touch of sweetness, but you could swap that out for a handful of halved cherry or grape tomatoes for a more traditional pizza topping. Add them to the pizza right before placing it in the oven.

Naan Bread Three Cheese Pizzae

Servings: 2 Pizzas or 2-4 Servings
 
Ingredients:
2 pieces naan bread
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 cup Wisconsin ricotta cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper (or to taste)
1 teaspoon fresh chives, minced
1/2 cup grated Wisconsin romano cheese
2/3 – 1 cup Wisconsin mozzarella cheese
1 cup baby arugula
Balsamic glaze
Coarse sea salt to taste
 
Cooking Directions:
Heat oven to 350°F.
 
Line baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place the naan on baking sheet and brush each piece lightly with olive oil.
 
In small bowl, stir together ricotta, garlic, kosher salt, pepper and chives. Spread ricotta mixture evenly onto the naan, leaving space around the edges for the crust. Top evenly with grated romano, followed by the mozzarella.
 
Bake 12-15 minutes, until the cheese has completely melted. Remove from oven and top with arugula, a light drizzle of balsamic and a sprinkle of coarse sea salt. Serve immediately.y
